We've lived in our house for almost 2 years now and I am just finally getting curtains in my living room. I am such an indecisive person that I couldn't decide what I wanted. The other problem is that my windows were so tall. It is hard to find curtains long enough. I kept finding cute cream panels but with 5 children, cream is not very practical. I'd be washing those things constantly.
I asked Cala if she could bring her sewing machine when they came for Thanksgiving and help make curtains. This really translated into, Cala will you make my curtains. My mother-in-law was so sweet and make all six panels. We ended up buying already made curtains from Pier 1 Imports then adding a panel at the bottom. We put a sage green ribbon with another brown ribbon on top of that where the two different panels met. I think they are fabulous. It was a little tricky because none of the panels were are wide as they were supposed to be so Cala and Clark had to unstitch a lot of fabric. They ended up being way more work than I had thought. I guess I should have realized that, but I love them. I finally have some privacy at night. The curtains also help tone down my very yellow walls.
This was a huge project. Thanks Cala.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE them!!! They turned out beautiful!!!
