More of February

Megan turned 8 months old in February.  She is getting big fast.  She now officially crawls.  After a long time of going in circles, she figured out how to move forward.  She also got her first two teeth.  She loves to eat now.  She will eat pretty much anything I give her. She is such a happy baby.

Tom was out of town on Valentine's Day so he had flowers delivered.  They were beautiful.  I've never had tulips before.
Nice pouty face on Grace.  She asked me to take a pouty picture.
Here are the girls in their matching outfits.

Our Awesome Winter

Winter was fabulous this year.  It snowed twice before Christmas and once in February, but it never stuck to the ground.  It has been such a pleasant winter.  I wish it was always like this.  It reminded me of a California winter (almost).
The boys were pretty disappointed in the lack of snow and the fact that they never had any days off of school for snow days but then they realized that they get out of school early May.  This is our snow from the storm in February.  There wasn't enough on the ground for the kids to play in so they got on the trampoline to play since the snow didn't melt as fast there.

My Birthday

We didn't do much for my birthday.  Tom and Jack had an overnight leadership training meeting the night before and didn't get home till the afternoon.  I did take the kids to get donuts in the morning.  They were pretty excited.  I was babysitting Kade's friend since both his parents were at the meeting as well.  Kade and Kyle both grabbed sodas to have with their donuts.  I told them no and Kade was so disappointed.  He had chocolate milk instead.  Thinking about it afterwards, the chocolate milk was probably just as bad as the soda would have been.  What's a little more sugar to go with your sugary donut.
Back in December, I decided it was finally time to get glasses.   You know you need glasses when you can't read the menu on your tv.  When I went in the doctor she asked me why I waited so long to come in.  Apparently my eyesight isn't all that great.  I am near sighted in one eye and far sighted in another.  I've never heard of that one before.  I now look even nerdier than usual.
The kids always love helping to open presents.
