Halloween

Here are the kids in their costumes. Jack dressed up on Saturday as a vampire for our ward trunk or treat, but he didn't want to get dressed up again on Sunday. Josh was Ares from Greek mythology on Saturday, but he's wearing a skull mask in this picture. Kade wanted to be a Star Wars guy and Grace was a fairy / princess. I had a pig costume that fit her better but she insisted on being a princess.
The boys had fun carving pumpkins. Kade carved his face all by himself this year. He was determined to do it himself.

Grace had a blast with Halloween this year. She loved the pumpkins and she especially loved getting candy. She carried her own bucket and walked around all by herself. When the kids came home, I put all the candy together in a big bowl. Grace got out her little bucket and kept filling it up.

Jack's Birthday

Tom's parents and my dad all came for Jack's ordination. It was fun to have so many people there for Jack. I can't believe my baby is 12.

Jack really wanted catcher's gear for his birthday.

Kade's Party

I am a terrible party planner. My kids' parties are usually months after their birthdays. Since we were in California for Kade's birthday, I wasn't going to do a party but then I started feeling guilty so Kade took two friends to Chuck E. Cheeses. They had a blast. I don't know why I procrastinate parties so much especially when they are easy.

Happy Birthday Tom

Tom had his favorite, banana cream pie for his birthday again this year.

The boys wanted to trick Tom so we wrapped up a big box of diapers to give him.
Here we are with his real gift - rock band. Just what a 37 year old wants!

Last of the Vacation Pictures

I'm not sure whose bright idea it was to give our kids ice cream in the car, but they all loved it. Grace was a huge mess, but she was quiet and content for about five minutes!

Kim and Jon blessed Lydia while we were in Utah. It was fun to be there. Here are the kids.

Grace, Kate and John had fun snuggling in Grandma and Grandpa's bed.
Olivia joined in the fun as well.
That's it as far the vacation pictures go. We had a blast on our vacation. It was so fun to see so many people that we love.

So, I'm still trying to catch up to date on my blogs, so here's a quick update.

Jack has been playing football at school. He plays wide receiver and is having a blast. I was nervous to let him play, but he is doing great. Two weeks ago, he caught a pass and scored a touchdown. So exciting. I'm sure we embarrassed him with our cheering from the stands.

The boys are all playing soccer and having fun. Kade scored three goals in his first game. He was so excited. I brought the video camera and was making Tom film it. Of course, we didn't get any of his goals on camera. What are the chances of that. Oh well. Better luck next time.

We found out this week that Tom's company is being sold. I don't know what that will mean for Tom's job. I guess we'll find out within the next several months.

Bear Lake

We met Tom's family at Bear Lake this summer and had a blast.
Tom and the boys got up really early every morning to go wake boarding, knee boarding and tubing. It's too bad that I had to sacrifice and sleep in to wait for Grace to wake up in the morning! I didn't get many pictures of the kids out on the boat. I just have a few of them tubing.

Kade loved digging in the sand. He spent almost all day every day digging.

I was worried that the water would be too chilly but it wasn't bad. Of course, I never got all the way in. I was content to let the kids play. The weather was perfect as well.

Grace kept putting her floaty or her bucket over her head. She was funny to watch.

Clark and Kade were pretty inseperable on this trip. It was fun to see how much fun they could have together.

Here's Grace helping to bury Valerie.

We had so much fun at Bear Lake. It was a great trip. Thanks, Jimmy and Lori, for organizing everything and providing the entertainment. My boys (Tom included) loved the boat activities.

Allen Cousins

We had so much fun visiting our Allen cousins in Utah.

Look at those cute boys.
So sweet.

California Trip

I can't believe it's almost October and I still haven't finished my vacation pictures. Here are some pictures from California. Everyone came to visit so we were all together. The kids had fun spending time with their cousins.
We celebrated Kade's birthday. He wanted an ice cream cake.

I took Kade and Grace to the park one day with Melissa's kids.

John and Grace are like two peas in a pod. Grace is so tough that she can hold her own with the boys. I loved watching her interact with John.
Picking Grandma's roses.

Lela with Lydia.
We got out the baby pool one day. They loved it.

Grace is really into princess things now. She loved putting on the dress. There were only two princess dresses so we had to work on sharing.

All the Hackworth cousins.
